Dr. Emily Kalenius joined Willamette Veterinary clinic as an associate veterinarian in October 2013, primarily as an emergency clinician. In early 2017, along with her partner, Dr. Lewer, Dr. Kalenius became one of our new clinic owners, and Willamette’s medical director. Her primary areas of interest remain emergency medicine and internal medicine.
A lifelong Oregonian, Dr. Kalenius grew up in The Dalles and then Lake Oswego.
After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, Dr. Kalenius attended veterinary school at Oregon State University, and graduated in 2008. She has been working in a combination of general and emergency practice since that time.
Dr. Kalenius has been an active member of the Corvallis community since 2004. She lives here in town with her husband, two daughters, a yellow lab and a cat. When she is not at the clinic, you will most likely find her running trails in the Macdonald Forest or riding her bike around town.
