Dr. Sarah Crozier joined the Willamette team in August 2016. She is a true Southern girl – she was born and raised in Georgia and attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in Alabama. It was at Auburn that Dr. Crozier learned the skills to treat large animals, small animals, and exotics.
After graduating from Auburn, Dr. Crozier practiced small animal medicine (with the occasional goat, bird, rodent, and reptile thrown in) for a year and a half before moving into the fast-paced world of emergency medicine. She loves how emergency work challenges her both creatively and technically. No two cases are exactly the same and she is constantly learning new techniques to better serve her patients.
Dr. Crozier moved to Corvallis in July 2016 to follow her wife whom is completing her PhD through Oregon State University. Though the move was intended to be temporary, the Crozier’s have decided to make Corvallis their home. The beautiful landscape, wonderful culture, and amazing opportunities for community involvement and outdoor recreation were too good to pass up. Dr. Crozier has already helped with clean up of Corvallis parks and has attended classes through the Corvallis Parks and Recreation. She hopes to enjoy more of what Corvallis has to offer this coming year!
When Dr. Crozier is not at WVH, you can usually find her at the barn with her horse, playing with her dogs, working in the yard, hiking, enjoying one of the many great restaurants around town, or sometimes reading a good book.
