Dr. Neuhaus was born and raised in Bend, Oregon. She has had a fascination for animals and their behavior since she can remember. She graduated with honors from the University of Montana with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology. During undergraduate, she studied insect physiology, which led to the publication of a research paper in the Journal of Thermal Biology. She also worked with an organization taking care of wildlife who were unable to be returned to the wild and performing educational shows. After undergraduate, she moved back to Oregon and began working at a veterinary office when she decided to apply to veterinary school, and four years later graduated from Oregon State University in 2021.
Dr. Neuhaus has been working at Willamette Veterinary Hospital as an emergency veterinarian since July 2021. Her professional interests include ultrasound and surgery. She also helps provide mentorship to the hospital’s internship program.
Her favorite things include spending time with her partner, George, exploring the Oregon Coast with their dogs, going to shows, and spending time with friends. They love having a menagerie of animals, which currently includes three dogs, a cat, a ball python, and a crested gecko.
