Dr. Lesley Cohen grew up in Orlando, Florida and received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida (UCF), graduating with top honors. During her undergraduate degree, Dr. Cohen was involved in tagging and monitoring sea turtles along Melbourne Beach during nesting season. Yearning for a new adventure, she moved to Oregon in 2017 and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2021.
Dr. Cohen has been an emergency clinician at Willamette Veterinary Hospital since June 2021. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, acute trauma cases, client education and communication, and anesthesia. She is working towards gaining experience with exotic animals, including small mammals and reptiles. She also has experience in aquatic animal medicine from veterinary school.
She currently lives in the Willamette valley with her partner, Zach, and two tabby cats, Percy and Bop. Her hobbies include cooking, going to Trader Joe’s, Zumba dance classes, concerts, and traveling. Her guilty pleasures include reality television and dessert.
