Dr. Xander Omoto grew up in Corvallis, and then attended Oregon State for both undergrad and vet school. Dr. Xander Omoto says, “My favorite part of veterinary medicine has been working to make our profession more diverse, equitable, and inclusive, so that we can help more people (and more pets!)” Fun fact: “My favorite memory from vet school was singing Broadway show tunes for the ICU staff (and a horse recovering from surgery) during a long night shift in the hospital.” They have two pet rats at home, Kurt and Puck, and a cattle dog mix named Ruby. Kurt loves to be the center of attention, Puck loves to cuddle, and Ruby loves to go bird watching. Dr. Xander Omoto enjoys watching Korean dramas with their rats, taking Ruby on long walks, and painting with watercolors.
